Highlights from Publish and Flourish
This workshop should be required of all junior faculty as it imparts invaluable information on how to move forward succesfully with a publishing agenda. During the first Publish and Flourish workshop, I completed a manuscript that was published in Water Resources Research. During this round, I completed a draft which will be submitted to Choices, a peer-reviewed journal in Agricultural Economics. It is amazing how the techniques presented in the workshop, and the support and motivation received from working with other scholars, can so greatly increase the quality and quantity of one’s publications.
• Ereney Hadjigeorgalis, Assistant Professor, Agricultural Economics & Agricultural Business
I feel that my writing skills, scheduling, and production have improved considerably through my participation in the program. In one semester, I wrote and submitted three grant proposals (with another one in progress!), one newsletter article, and I continue to work on two journal articles.
• Elissa Wolfe Poel, Assistant Professor, Special Education/Communication Disorders
I loved it, I got more written then I thought possible. I am not a very good writer and almost scared of writing, but this class helped me tremendously. I had lots of people that helped me get over my fear of writing and actually write. I feel that is could help a lot of people like me if they knew about it.
• Joleen Atencio, Graduate Student, Department of Entemology, Plant Pathology & Weed Science
Publish and Flourish was of tremendous help to so many of us. I got one article published and a commitment for another to be published. Gracias, gracias, gracias!
