Teaching Conferences

Some scholarships are available to the following teaching conferences and institutes each year. These scholarships are made possible through the generosity of all the academic deans, including the dean of the library and DACC.

New Mexico Higher Education Assessment and Retention Conference

The New Mexico Higher Education Assessment and Retention (NMHEAR) Conference provides an opportunity for faculty, staff and administrators to share ideas about assessment and rectention initiatives that apromote student success. NMHEAR Conference is a single conference with tracks on both assessment and retention, as well as tracks of combined interest. Pre- and post Conference Workshops are offered.



Boot Camp for Profs

This week-long institute for college teachers is hosted by The Center for Teaching and Learning at Idaho State University the third week of June in the mountains of north central Colorado. Boot Camp for Profs is designed to help you discover and rediscover teaching “from the ground up.”

Distance Learning Conference

This distance education conference is organized by The University of Wisconsin–Madison, in early August in Madison, Wisconsin. About 1,000 people attend 150 events in 11 tracks at this exciting conference.
